Positive Changes

If you want to make positive changes in your life or your mental game, start by being nice- To yourself. Cut yourself some slack. Talk to yourself the way you would talk to a friend. The thing that you want to change was there for a reason. It served a purpose at some time. This frees up mental energy for you to move forward and start making the changes that you would like to make. We used to think that our personality was set in stone. We now know that we have the power to change. Old habits die hard, but they can die. Replace your thinking with thoughts aligned to your goal. Support that with behaviors that support your goal. Visualize being in possession of your goal and back that with emotion as much as you can. This emotion can be enthusiasm, faith, excitement, love or any other positive emotion. This will nurture the new habit of mind. Stick with this and the old habits will just get tired of popping up and the new one will take over. Happy New Year.
