Here are some simple ways to start building a strong, positive mindset. Negativity is a habit. It will take practice to make a new habit to replace it.

•Look for the Positives-be present and notice the good things

•Be realistic about expectations-this helps us avoid disappointment

*Perfect is not a realistic expectation

•Deal with fear of criticism-mistakes will happen and others are seldom as critical as you expect

•Challenge your negative thoughts- they are not facts and usually arise out of habit, argue in your own defense

•Surround yourself with positive people when possible

*Start using positive wording now- Use 'get to' instead of 'have to', Use 'remember' instead of 'don't forget'
